Biden reportedly called Obama’s close political adviser, David Axelrod, a ‘prick’ in response to Axelrod suggesting Biden step down due to his age.
It’s no secret that Biden is seriously falling behind in the polls.
Despite multiple indictments, President Trump is soaring to the lead, so much so that CNN and The New York Times have admitted so.
🚨 REPORT: Joe Biden cussed out David Axelrod, the top strategist to President Barack Obama, in a private meeting after Axelrod suggested that it would be “wise” for Biden to not seek reelection given his faltering health and tanking popularity.https://t.co/FFTtOIAfLj

Fox News shares more on the story:
Politico columnist Jonathan Martin hammered President Biden’s re-election strategy on Monday and argued that reportedly calling former Obama adviser David Axelrod a “prick” in private was not going to win him votes.
Martin also criticized Biden’s decision to debate poll results with the White House press corps, adding that it wouldn’t make his victory in 2024 any likelier.
“Calling David Axelrod ‘a prick,’ as a person who has heard Biden use the word says he does in private, is not a strategy to win 270 electoral votes. And repeating a PG version of the same animus in public while litigating polling with the White House press corps also won’t make Biden’s reelection any likelier,” Martin wrote.
ADVERTISEMENTAxelrod has mused aloud whether it is “wise” for Biden to seek re-election as he faces grim swing-state polls and Democratic fretting over his age and ability to again defeat former President Trump. Fox News White House correspondent Peter Doocy asked Biden about polling that showed him trailing Trump in battleground states last week.
I think Biden should run for re-election.
It would undoubtedly be an easy win for President Trump!
Not a coincidence that both David Axelrod and Bill Kristol announced today that Biden should GTFO.
Obama has seen the polling and given the marching orders.
Buckle up. https://t.co/MpDaTYxkVA

The Hill has more on the conflict:
Former Biden White House chief of staff and longtime Biden confidant Ron Klain shot back, complaining about past pointed criticisms of the president from Axelrod.
White House aides brushed aside Axelrod’s comments, pointing out former President Obama was in a difficult polling situation a year ahead of his reelection race and still won.
But the criticism, along with media attention on a New York Times/Sienna College poll showing Biden behind Trump in five swing states, which prompted Axelrod’s remarks, was clearly an annoyance.
The White House released a memo days later criticizing the media’s focus on one poll a year out from the election, while noting polls and pundits had predicted a 2022 “red wave” for the midterms that never materialized.
ADVERTISEMENTA Biden White House alum described a collective Biden World “eye roll” when a “Democratic talking head” makes remarks like Axelrod’s.
“Any time someone lights up the White House, the campaign, or the administration but doesn’t have to do any real work, there’s sort of an ‘eye roll’ effect. Like maybe roll up your sleeves and get in the arena,” the source said.
The alum, who asked for anonymity to speak candidly, said Axelrod should have kept his comments to himself, given the former Obama adviser broadly thinks Biden has done a good job as president.
“Sure, there are a million things you can criticize the administration about in any day. But on the whole, David Axelrod, you think Biden is doing a good job, but maybe keep your 10 percent opinion quiet when the 90 percent is he’s doing a good job,” the alum said. “Why do you have an innate ability to focus on the 10 percent?”
I think it’s funny that this anonymous Biden admin alum focuses on Axelrod being critical of Biden’s shortcomings.
He misses the entire point that the polls show that Biden will lose in 2024.
Unless something changes, Biden is going to lose the election.
The only thing that can motivate people to vote for Biden is abortion.
We have yet to see what President Trump will say on the issue.
