Representative Elise Stefanik has filed an ethics complaint against Judge Engoron for his inappropriate and biased behavior during President Trump’s NY fraud case.
Rep. Stefanik cites Judge Engoron’s strict gag order against President Trump and the blatantly false evaluation of President Trump’s Mar-a-Lago property.

🚨🚨🚨 I just filed an official judicial complaint against Judge Arthur Engoron for his inappropriate bias and judicial intemperance in New York’s disgraceful lawsuit against President Donald J. Trump and the Trump Organization.
Americans are sick and tired of the blatant… pic.twitter.com/5HRzSle2LV

Fox News shares more on the story:
Stefanik cited that and other reported incidents in her Friday letter, as well as a limited gag order Engoron imposed on Trump and his lawyers, citing a deluge of threats to himself and his staff since the trial started.
“Judge Engoron has gone on to gag and fine President Trump for merely criticizing Judge Engoron’s law clerk, which is core political speech protected by the First Amendment,” Stefanik said. “If anyone in America must have the constitutional right to speak out against the judge, his staff, the witnesses, or the process, it’s a defendant going through a process he believes is politicized and weaponized against him.”
She also lashed out at him for valuing Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida “between $18 and 27.6 million,” a number Stefanik and the ex-president’s allies have called implausibly low.
ADVERTISEMENT“This is yet another example why Judge Engoron demonstrated bad judgment by keeping this case, instead of sending it to the expert judges in the Commercial Division where it belongs,” she said. “Judge Engoron’s bizarre and biased behavior is making New York’s judicial system a laughingstock.”
I am glad that someone is standing up to Judge Engoron and the kangaroo court he oversees.
President Trump, like everyone in this country, deserves a fair trial.
I've carefully reviewed @EliseStefanik's judicial misconduct complaint against Judge Engoron. Rep. Stefanik raises several substantial ethics issues that should be quickly investigated by the New York State Commission on Judicial Conduct. https://t.co/kRmnIlQNwJ

NBC News shares more on the story:
Stefanik said in the letter to accompany the complaint that Engoron had illegally gagged Trump’s protected political speech, violated political giving rules with financial contributions to Democrats as recently as 2018, and ignored a decision on the appropriate statute of limitations in the case. At the start of the trial, Engoron “infamously smiled and posed for the cameras,” she noted.
“If Judge Engoron can railroad a billionaire New York businessman, a former President of the United States, and the leading presidential candidate, just imagine what he could do to all New Yorkers,” Stefanik writes. “Judge Engoron’s lawlessness sends an ominous and illegal warning to New York business owners: If New York judges don’t like your politics, they will destroy your business, the livelihood of your employees, and you personally. This Commission cannot let this continue.”
“All Americans, including political opponents, must receive due process and equal protection under our U.S. and New York Constitutions,” Stefanik wrote. “Judge Engoron’s disdain for President Trump and his politics are evident, and the Commission must take corrective action to restore a just process and protect our constitutional rights. Judge Engoron must recuse from this case.”
This case, like all the other phony indictments, is a political move to have President Trump silenced leading up to the 2024 presidential election.
It is comical how badly this has backfired for them.
Support for President Trump has only risen since multiple trials have begun.
Ordinary people stand with President Trump because they can see that corrupt government officials are doing everything in their power to have him removed from the running.
