GOP Presidential Candidate Calls Out CNN’s Anti-Trump Agenda

Since the first time President Trump announced his plans to run for the presidency, CNN and other left-leaning mainstream media outlets have gone out of their way to smear him.

The negative press and outright lies led to the former president calling the network and other left-wing media “fake news.”

On Saturday, another Republican finally got tired of the anti-Trump bias the network has shown and called them out for it.

During an interview, GOP Presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy got into a heated exchange with Jim Acosta about President Trump’s recent remarks in which he referred to the January 6 protesters as “hostages.”

Acosta brought up a clip from a recent rally where the national anthem was performed by some of the January 6 protesters.

He asked Ramaswamy if he thought Jan. 6 protesters were hostages.

“I think many peaceful protesters on January 6 should absolutely not be in prison,” said Ramaswamy, adding, “We have a dual standard of justice in this country. One standard applied, Antifa and BLM rioters for the prior two years.”

Acosta went back to focusing on the word hostages and suggested it was irresponsible of Trump to use the word considering what is going on in Israel.

Ramaswamy responded by criticizing the lack of accountability in the media and pointed out CNN’s false Russia collusion narrative and Hunter Biden’s laptop story.

“I mean Jim, let me just be really clear about what’s irresponsible as it relates to coverage of Donald Trump,” said Ramaswamy.

“And I think that your network and others like you owe some accountability here from the Russia collusion hoax that never was, to the Hunter Biden laptop story that was actually real before people before the election were told that it was false. So I think that the real accountability here belongs to the media. Speak the truth, and admit accountability when you are wrong,” said Ramaswamy.

For those who have forgotten, Acosta has a personal history with Trump and was once banned from the White House by the 45th President.

After the interview aired, Ramaswamy doubled down on his comments on his X, formerly Twitter, account.

“This is exactly what the MSM does: obsess over some irrelevant detail about a random Trump comment, while totally abdicating their own responsibility for systematically lying to the public for the last 5 years. The lack of self-awareness is astounding,” he wrote.
