Did you know the Capitol Building has a secret prayer room?
In recent years the prayer room has been rarely touched by any House Speaker in Congress but newly elected House Speaker Mike Johnson is changing that.
During a recent interview with Fox News host and former Trump Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany, Mike Johnson gave a tour of the prayer room.
Johnson shared with Kayleigh, he was going to start praying every morning ion his knees.
Take a look at it here:

Here’s what The Western Journal reported:
Humility is a rarity among those in prominent positions across various professions and sectors.
ADVERTISEMENTRarer still to see a person in one of the highest offices of the land acknowledging the need for God’s guidance and wisdom in his life.
So it is a refreshing change and a hopeful sign that the new speaker of the House, Mike Johnson, plans to start his days as speaker, not in one of the congressional offices or getting comfortable in his new speaker’s chair, but in the chapel.
During an interview with Fox News host Kayleigh McEnany, McEneny said Johnson took her to the prayer room, telling her that he was going to start every morning in prayer in that room, in front of the picture of George Washington on his knees, asking for wisdom and guidance.
The Capitol prayer room near the Rotunda was created in 1955. It features a stained glass window depicting George Washington in prayer, with inscriptions from Psalm 16:1 and Lincoln’s Gettysburg Address.

Here’s what Mediate reported:
Newly elected Speaker Mike Johnson sat with Fox News host Kayleigh McEnany for what appears to be one of the most obsequious and groveling interviews in recent memory.
The Outnumbered co-host and former Trump White House Press Secretary appeared on Fox & Friends to promote the interview and provided some of the most shameless fawning one might see on cable news.
Johnson became House Speaker after a remarkably chaotic three weeks in which the House of Representatives could not function as a governing body because House Republicans could not get their shit together. Out of that chaos emerged a new leader, one who has been a faithful servant to former President Donald Trump and his election denialism.
ADVERTISEMENTJohnson, an evangelical Christian, has also clarified in other interviews that his guiding principle is the Bible, which was warmly received by McEnany and Fox & Friends host Ainsley Earhardt, who often delights in signaling Christian virtues.
After playing a brief clip in which Johnson reveals plans to pay for Israeli aid from previously earmarked resources for the IRS, McEnany absolutely fawned over Mike Johnson.
“It was an honor,” she said of the opportunity to interview the new Speaker. “The words kind, joyful, humble, don’t often characterize politicians that I’ve encountered. They do for Mike Johnson; there’s chaos on the Hill. A lot needs to be done. But he had such calm in his demeanor. I really believe he thinks God is leading the way. This will all get figured out. And he is, I believe, here for an Esther-like moment for such a time.”
