The Swamp Is Draining! – Second Anti-MAGA Republican Announces Retirement

Rep. Ken Buck announced today that he would retire after his current term in 2024.

Now, Rep. Kay Granger has announced that she, too, will be retiring in 2024.

Both Buck and Granger are RINOs who have actively worked against President Trump and recently prevented Rep. Jim Jordan from being Speaker.

Check out my previous post that highlighted Rep. Ken Buck’s announcement:

HUGE WIN: Anti-MAGA Congressman Announces He Will NOT Run For Reelection

NBC News shares more on the story:

"I’ve decided, Andrea, I’m not going to seek re-election," Buck said in an interview on MSNBC's "Andrea Mitchell Reports."

He revealed his decision after Granger, the chairwoman of the powerful House Appropriations Committee, also announced that she will leave Congress.

"I’m joining Kay and probably some others in the near future, but I’ve decided that it is time for me to do some other things," Buck said. "I always have been disappointed with our inability in Congress to deal with major issues, and I’m also disappointed that the Republican Party continues to rely on this lie that the 2020 election was stolen and rely on the Jan. 6 narrative and political prisoners from Jan. 6 and other things."

He added, "If we’re going to solve difficult problems, we’ve got to deal with some very unpleasant truths or lies and make sure that we project to the public what the truth is."

Good riddance to these RINOs.

The Republican party will NOT miss them.

This is why term limits are a necessity if our republic is going to continue working.

These old Republicans might have benefited the party in the past, but they are far too stuck in their old ways.

This is the future of the Republican party, and if these career politicians aren't happy about that, they need to resign.

ABC News shares more on the story:

Granger's vote also drew attention during the speakership fight when she, along with some other moderate and establishment members of the party, blocked Jordan's ascent.

"I have been able to accomplish more in this life than I could have imagined, and I owe it all to my incredible family, staff, friends, and supporters," Granger said in her statement. "The United States of America is the greatest country in the world because of our people and the vision of our Founding Fathers who created a nation that ensures every man, woman and child has the opportunity to succeed."

"I am encouraged by the next generation of leaders in my district," she said. "It's time for the next generation to step up and take the mantle and be a strong and fierce representative for the people."

Granger is right.

It is time for the next generation of MAGA-supporting Republicans to run for office.

It's what the people want, and it's what needs to happen.
