Move Over, Bud Light: Eventbrite Bans Riley Gaines But Allows Pro-Hamas, Pro-Terrorism Events

It’s like the Bud Light disaster all over again.

Calls to boycott Eventbrite are swelling on social media after the corporation BANNED Riley Gaines events from its platform.

For those unaware, Eventbrite is a ticketing platform where people can sell tickets and create an RSPV system for their major events.

Well, Riley Gaines has been speaking nationwide to promote women’s rights and to protect women in general.

But Eventbrite has banned Gaines from its platform, claiming that Gaines’ events are anti-trans.

Here’s the kicker, though…

While Eventbrite has banned Riley Gaines from promoting any of her events, they’re allowing pro-Hamas events to be promoted through their platform.

That’s right – the same Hamas that the federal government has declared a terrorist organization.

Pro-Hamas events can sell tickets through Eventbrite, but pro-woman Riley Gaines has been banned from the platform.

How is this right?

How is this fair or safe?

Major corporations continue to show how out of touch with the American public they are.

Earlier in the year, Bud Light partnered with radical trans activist Dylan Mulvaney.

This resulted in a massive boycott from which Bud Light might never recover.

Is Eventbrite next?

Fox News confirms that the platform has “canceled” Riley Gaines for being pro-women:

Former NCAA swimmer Riley Gaines has been outspoken about transgender females’ participation in women’s sports.

Gaines, who currently serves as the director of the Riley Gaines Center at the Leadership Institute, has several speaking events scheduled for next month as part of the Speak Louder Campus Tour. The Leadership Institute is serving as the tour’s sponsor.

Gaines’ first stop for November is slated to take place at the University of California, Davis. Information about the “Protecting Women’s Sports with Riley Gaines” event was listed on event management and ticketing website Eventbrite – until Tuesday.

Eventbrite has since removed the event listing from its marketplace. An email from Eventbrite Trust & Safety stated that the event violated the company’s “community guidelines and terms of service.”

“We have determined that your event is not permitted on the Eventbrite marketplace as it violates our Community Guidelines and Terms of Service, with which all users agree to comply,” Eventbrite wrote.

The fact that Eventbrite appears to be taking the side of terrorist sympathizers over Riley Gaines proves how delusional and dangerous the far left has become.

You’d think that after the Bud Light disaster that brands would have learned their lesson.

Instead, they’re doubling down on their controversial policies and double standards.

As of this writing, the pro-Hamas events are still allowed on Eventbrite.

Do they really want to be on the wrong side of history?

Zero Hedge provides some excellent in-depth analysis what’s happening:

Critics have noted that pro-Hamas groups are allowed to use the site as are radical far left groups.

For years, many politicians and pundits have dismissed free-speech concerns by noting that the First Amendment only applies to the government. So long as corporations do the censoring, they contend, it is not a free-speech problem.

This obviously is wrong on several fronts.

The First Amendment is not the exclusive measure of free speech. Corporate censorship of political commentaries or news stories are denials of free speech that harm our democratic system.

Second, this is a First Amendment violation. The Twitter files have substantiated long-standing concerns over “censorship by surrogate” or proxy. As with other amendments like the Fourth Amendment, which protects against unreasonable searches or seizures, the government cannot use private agents to do indirectly what it cannot do directly. A federal court recently found precisely this type of agency relationship between the federal government and social media companies.

Transgender policies raise difficult and divisive issues for our nation. We need to be able to discuss these issues and seek common answers or approaches. Many citizens are divided. We can only reach a consensus through dialogue and debate.

What Eventbrite is doing is obstructing such efforts by imposing its own corporate values on its customers. I understand why transgender people would object to these events. I have transgender students who I want to feel safe and valued in our community. Yet, limiting free speech events is not the answer. For social media and event companies, it is important to allow views on both sides to be expressed if we have any hope for a national resolution of these questions.

Not only is Eventbrite in the wrong for apparently condoning pro-terror hate speech, but they are also in the wrong for shutting down a biological woman from speaking her truth.

If Eventbrite is pro-women, they why are they banning a real woman from their platform?

Sooner or later, Eventbrite will have to answer for their questionable decision-making.

Until then, calls for boycotts continue to spread across social media.

Will Eventbrite become the next Bud Light?

If social media furor is any indication, it sure looks like it.
