House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries blasted Jim Jordan, the GOP nominee for Speaker of the House after a failed vote to fill the role on Tuesday.
Jeffries, who is the Democratic Party’s choice to fill the vacant role, spoke to reporters outside the Capitol in Washington, D.C, following Jordan’s attempt to win the speakership.

After 20 Republicans voted against Jordan, Jeffries called Jordan the “poster child of MAGA extremism” and “not one” of the respected Republicans among the House Democrats.
The Minority Leader also said that “informal talks” are ongoing with some Republicans, but would not elaborate.
Even though Jeffries did not name anyone, it is clear he was talking about the RINOs in the House who did not vote for Jordan on Tuesday, some of whom voted for Kevin McCarthy, who was ousted as Speaker.
With Jeffries getting 212 votes for Speaker from all the Democratic members of the House, it is obvious he is trying to flip the RINOs that don’t want to vote for Jordan, who has been endorsed by President Trump.
Here’s a portion of the article on Fox News:
“My hope, now that it’s clear Jim Jordan lacks the votes to be speaker, is that those conversations will accelerate this evening,” Jeffries said.
Jeffries also said that “House Democrats have made it clear” they are “ready, willing, and able to find bipartisan common ground on any issue in order to make a difference in the lives of everyday Americans.”
“It’s time to get off the sidelines, break away from the extremists,” he said. “Get in the arena, so we can find a bipartisan path forward.”
Jeffries added that “Republicans are unable to function on their own right now” and that there are “only two paths.”
“Either you’re going to continue to bend the knee to the most extreme members of your conference, who are not interested in governing, or you can partner with Democrats to do the business of the American people,” he said.
“All options are on the table.”
The most annoying thing about this situation is that the distraction the RINOs in the House are causing is emboldening the Democrats.
Even California Congressman Eric Swalwell, who was investigated for alleged ties to a Chinese Spy, is poking fun at the Republicans.
Trump is in Court.
Republicans have no Speaker.
This is always how it was going to end with these chaos agents in charge.

With the next vote for Speaker scheduled for Wednesday morning, Jordan will have to figure out a way to get the RINOs on board.
