The battle rages on for the Speaker of the House after McCarthy was ousted earlier this month.
With many GOP House members scrambling to become the next Speaker.
One candidate is looking more likely to win than another.
Jim Jordan, a popular candidate with President Trump’s support, will likely win the election.
McCarthy himself admits that Rep. Jordan is likely to be his successor.
Check out the Fox News story here:
Former House Speaker Kevin McCarthy said he is confident Rep. Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, will have the votes to become his successor, he told FOX News’ Brian Kilmeade on Monday ahead of a crucial vote.
“I feel very good about where Jim Jordan is at. He has been an integral part of our team when we took the majority, helping us get the majority,” McCarthy said during “FOX & Friends.”
ADVERTISEMENT“The real challenge here is, and I know a lot of people out there are afraid that will Republicans break off and go work with Democrats, the only reason anybody’s even talking about that is because eight Republican members worked with every single Democrat to remove me from speaker and put us into this tailspin and all based upon keeping government open,” he continued.
Rep. Rogers, rumored to be working against Rep. Jordan, has folded.
In a string of tweets this morning, Rep. Rogers has announced his support for Rep. Jordan.
Check out the string of tweets here:
.@Jim_Jordan and I have had two cordial, thoughtful, and productive conversations over the past two days. We agreed on the need for Congress to pass a strong NDAA, appropriations to fund our government's vital functions, and other important legislation like the Farm Bill. (1/3)

Since I was first elected to the House, I have always been a team player and supported what the majority of the Republican Conference agrees to. Together, our Republican majority will be stronger to fight Joe Biden’s reckless agenda for America. (3/3)

The Associated Press, like other mainstream media, has labeled Rep. Jordan as a part of the ‘far-right.’
They fear a strong Speaker like him and seek to deplatform him.
Check out a clip from an Associated Press article:
A favorite of former President Donald Trump and darling of the party’s rabble-rousing base, Jordan’s path to the U.S. government’s third-highest office is by no means certain in a House Republican conference riven by conflict following the ouster two weeks ago of former Speaker Kevin McCarthy. To win, Jordan will need support from nearly every House Republican, having few votes to spare in a chamber they only narrowly control.
ADVERTISEMENTShould Jordan succeed, it would help cement the far right’s takeover of the Republican Party and trigger fresh conflict with Democrats over the size and scope of government. But a Jordan speakership would also come with baggage that could present a challenge to Republicans as they labor to hold their House majority in next year’s election, an effort that will likely hinge on drawing support from moderate voters in swing districts.
Some members of Congress — including some in his own party — label Jordan an extremist unworthy of the speakership, pointing to his active role in Trump’s bid to stop the certification of the 2020 presidential election, as well as his refusal to honor a congressional subpoena about the Jan. 6 attack at the Capitol. Further in his past, Jordan continues to be questioned over his alleged knowledge of sexual abuse in the wrestling program at Ohio State University — accusations he adamantly denies.
The pushback that Rep. Jordan has had from the left is more proof that he is the candidate we should be electing.
We need someone strong who will hold the government accountable, like the election fraud in the 2020 election.
They are panicking now that it looks good that Rep. Jordan will win the Speaker.
