Minnesota Woman Killed by Hamas After Advocating for Palestinian Rights

Cindy Flash, a Minnesota native, and her husband, Igal Flash, the son of Holocaust survivors, were killed by Hamas terrorists.

Both Cindy and Igal actively campaigned for the rights of Palestinians in Israel.

The tragic event occurred last Saturday when the couple took refuge in their safe room.

The New York Post has more on the story:

For days, her parents’ fate remained unknown, leading to speculation that they might have been taken to Gaza as hostages.

But shortly before her interview with CNN, Keren got the devastating news that both her mother and father were dead.

The daughter said she was relieved to learn that her parents “apparently died instantly so at least it was quick and relatively painless.”

Cindy, a native of St. Paul, Minnesota, emigrated to Israel decades ago after falling in love with the country during a visit, reported USA Today.

She married Igal, an Israeli, and the couple settled in Kfar Azar — a community located just a few miles from the Gaza border that boasted about 800 residents before Saturday’s massacre, which saw entire families gunned down and babies beheaded and burned.

Such a tragic event that many innocent civilians have had to endure.

And the irony of it all is that the couple were avid supporters of the rights of Palestinians.

It shows the horrid extent to which these terrorists will go to achieve their mission: the destruction of Israel.

Many folks over on X (Twitter) have shared their opinions on the matter:

It’s tragic that Americans have been killed because of this conflict.

It’s important that we get our own people out of there as fast as possible.

The Independent has more on the daughter of the couple:

Ms Flash said her father was born in Israel and was the son of Holocaust survivors, while her mother, who she described as “all heart and soul,” had protested Israeli military action in Gaza.

“Whenever there was a military operation, (she) would always protest,” she said.

“She was there protesting all the time … because you don’t treat human beings like that no matter what their religious belief is and what their ethnicity is.”

“They were some of the best people that I have ever known,” Ms Flash said of her parents. “They were good people. They cared about other people. They fought for other people’s rights and other people’s voices.”

“They were just a good balance of each other and really taught me what a loving and strong relationship should look like and they were just my inspiration for everything,” she added.

Let us hope that we are able to evacuate the remaining Americans out of Israel while this conflict ensues.
