Alabama RINO Working with Democrats to Stop Jordan from Becoming Speaker

The Deep State strikes again.

Since Florida Congressman Matt Gaetz forced out former House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, House Republicans have been unable to agree on who will replace him.

President Trump made the decision easier for them when he endorsed Ohio Congressman Jim Jordan. After Steve Scalise dropped out of the race, Jordan won the nomination over Georgia’s Austin Scott.

Here is part of what President Trump said about Jordan on Fox News:

“Congressman Jim Jordan has been a STAR long before making his very successful journey to Washington, D.C., representing Ohio’s 4th Congressional District.,” Trump posted on his TRUTH Social overnight. “Respected by all, he is now Chairman of the House Judiciary Committee.”

“As President, I had the honor of presenting Jim with our Country’s highest civilian award, The Presidential Medal of Freedom,” Trump continued. “So much is learned from sports, and Jim was a master!”

Trump, praising Jordan’s wrestling record, said that “while attending Graham High School, he won State Championships all four years, a rarity, and compiled an amazing 156-1 record. At the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Jim became a two-time NCAA Division l Wrestling Champion.”

Even though some House Republicans said they would vote against Jordan, most of them are expected to fall in line by the time they vote on Tuesday, but one particular RINO is going against his party.

On Friday, Alabama Congressman Mike Rogers said Jordan would not get his support for the Speaker job.

To make things worse, he called the eight Republicans who helped to vote out McCarthy traitors and said Minority Speaker Hakeem Jeffries should tell them what concessions the Democrats need to get their help in selecting a new Speaker.

These are some of the comments he made on AL.com:

Rogers left a closed-door caucus session Friday and said Democratic leader Hakeem Jeffries (R-NY) should state concessions needed to help the GOP.

“They put us in this ditch along with eight traitors,” Rogers told Capitol Hill reporters. “We’re still the majority party, we’re willing to work with them but they gotta tell us what they need.”
Rogers has voiced his anger at the eight Republicans who helped oust former Speaker Kevin McCarthy, calling them “traitors” who “paralyzed” the House, according to a report.

The problem with RINOs like Rogers is the fact that they are playing into the hands of the Democrats, who want to make Jeffries the Speaker, and they are preventing the Republicans from governing, which will hurt the party in the next election cycle if the issue isn’t resolved soon.
