Shirtless Bernie Sanders Supporter Arrested At Capitol For Carrying Rifle

As WLT reported on Wednesday, a shirtless man was arrested inside of the Wisconsin State Capitol after brandishing a firearm.

The man was arrested after he approached Democrat Governor Tony Ever’s Office while carrying a firearm.

Shortly after his arrest he posted bail and went  to Wisconsin’s Capitol Building again but this time with a rifle.

Now, 1030 WSN has confirmed the man who was arrested was Joshua J. Pleasnick a liberal  who previously donated to Bernie Sanders.

Pleasnick later revealed to officers that  “he would continue coming to the Capitol until he spoke to the Governor about domestic abuse towards men.”

Per 1030 WISN:

The suspect who was arrested after bringing a handgun into the Wisconsin Capitol Wednesday afternoon and demanding to see Governor Evers, then returning that night with a rifle after posting bail, is a well-known chef at a Madison distillery and an apparent liberal who made multiple donations to Bernie Sanders.

According to a visitor alert circulated to Capitol staff, Joshua J. Pleasnick, 43, who goes by the nickname “Taco,” was shirtless and brandishing a holstered handgun when he approached a security guard stationed outside Evers’ office and demanded to see the Governor just before 2:00 pm Wednesday.

“Pleasnick was told he could not open carry in the Capitol,” the alert states. “Pleasnick stated he would not comply with that order. Pleasnick was arrested for openly carrying a firearm in a public building. While being interviewed Pleasnick said he would continue coming to the Capitol until he spoke to the Governor about domestic abuse towards men.”

Online court records indicate Pleasnick has been involved in at least one divorce and several child support actions over the past decade.

Pleasnick was booked into the Dane County Jail but immediately posted bail and returned to the Capitol at about 8:50 pm armed with “an AK-style rifle.”

Per Free Beacon:

A shirtless man arrested for carrying a gun while demanding to see the Wisconsin governor is a Bernie Sanders supporter, records show.

Joshua Pleasnick was arrested Wednesday in the Wisconsin State Capitol in Madison after open-carrying a handgun and demanding security officers allow him to see the state’s Democratic governor Tony Evers.

“Pleasnick was told he could not open carry in the Capitol,” a Capitol staff alert says. “Pleasnick stated he would not comply with that order. Pleasnick was arrested for openly carrying a firearm in a public building. While being interviewed Pleasnick said he would continue coming to the Capitol until he spoke to the Governor about domestic abuse towards men.”

He later returned to the building after posting bail for his arrest, this time carrying an “an AK-style rifle” and once again demanding to speak with Evers. He was taken into protective custody.

Bernie Sanders likes to go shirtless himself.
