Trump Gets Welcomed By Huge Crowd In California

President Trump took a trip to sunny California and was welcomed by a huge crowd hoping to get a glimpse of the 45th president.

On Friday Trump visited California to give a speech at the California Republican Party convention in Anaheim.

As Trump made his way to Anaheim to speak at the convention his supporters lined up in the streets to give Trump a warm welcome.

Per ABC 7 News:

upporters and critics of former President Donald Trump gathered Friday outside the California Republican Party convention in Anaheim, where Trump delivered an occasionally dark and profane speech.

“Number one, we are going to support him — even if he goes to jail — because he is a man for the people and by the people,” said Antoinnette Del Peral, one of hundreds of supporters outside the Anaheim Marriott, where the convention was held.

“And, you guys,” Del Peral told a reporter, “it is not an insurrection. You’re all lying.”

While many of Trump’s remarks at the convention were familiar retreads of his attacks and grievances, his encouragement of violent retribution against criminals marked an escalation of his longstanding tough-on-crime message.

“We will immediately stop all of the pillaging and theft. Very simply: If you rob a store, you can fully expect to be shot as you are leaving that store,” he said, drawing loud applause. “Shot!” he added for emphasis.

Three presidential candidates spoke to Republicans in Orange County on Friday — but the day’s events felt more like a rally for former President Donald Trump.

MAGA hats were a common accessory, and lines to buy Trump-themed merchandise, like shirts that featured his mugshot with the words “Wanted for President,” snaked through the halls in between and during the candidates’ events. Women took photos kissing a cardboard cutout of the former president.

Dueling demonstrations clashed on the streets outside of the Anaheim hotel where the California GOP convention was held — with both sides focused on their support for or opposition to Trump.
