Too little, too late? Multiple sources are now reporting that the U.S. government has allegedly stopped funding the Wuhan Institute of Virology—or so they claim.
As it becomes glaringly apparent that gain of function research is a threat to humanity and that the COVID-19 virus was released from a laboratory, U.S. officials are attempting to distance themselves from the lab.
My question is why the hell did they think it would be okay to engineer diseases in China in the first place? Who thought this would be a good idea?
Moreover, how many of these labs exist? The U.S. deep state claims they have stopped funding the lab in Wuhan, and even this claim I doubt, but how many other bioweapon research facilities are scattered throughout low-security countries?
WLTR has previously reported claims from Russian military officials and U.S. media pundits who claim that the U.S. is still funding a number of these labs inside Ukraine.
According to The Epoch Times: “All US federal funding to the Wuhan Institute of Virology, the Chinese lab suspected to be the origin of COVID-19, has been suspended, according to HHS.”
“WIV conducted an experiment that violated the terms of the grant regarding viral activity.”

Rutgers University professor and board member Richard H. Ebright presented the HHS letter recently sent to the Wuhan Institute of Virology.

The New York Post claimed:
The Department of Health and Human Services announced Wednesday that it has officially barred the Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV) from receiving US funding for the next 10 years, as more evidence points to the COVID-19 pandemic leaking out of a Chinese lab.
The Office of Health and Human Services Secretary Xavier Becerra sent a letter on Tuesday to WIV Director General Dr. Yanyi Wang informing her that the lab — which conducted risky gain-of-function experiments on bat coronaviruses — will be denied US research grants until July 16, 2033.
Clinical psychologist and neuroscientist Steve Ilardi speculated: “Why would the CIA cover up evidence that Covid originated in a lab leak? Perhaps because the CIA — via agencies like USAID and cutouts like EcoHealth — was covertly funding Wuhan gain-of-function research for bioweapon defense (vax development) purposes.”

Left-wing journalist Mehdi Hassan recently interviewed Fauci and pressed him on the lab leak hypothesis. Fauci responded: “Once you get definitive proof, I and all of my colleagues, I assure you, will embrace that.”

Russia Today, a state affiliated outlet, presented one spokesperson’s statement:
The move is aimed at ensuring the institute “does not receive another dollar of federal funding,” the spokesperson said in a statement, citing the lab’s alleged failure to provide information requested by the National Institutes of Health relating to issues of compliance with US biosafety protocols.
ADVERTISEMENTSuspending the institute’s funding was “necessary to mitigate any potential public health risk,” a HHS official wrote in the agency’s memo regarding the funding cut.
