Rumble Has REJECTED Request To censor and Demonetize Russell Brand!

Rumble has stood its ground against a ‘disturbing’ letter from the UK Parliament.

Parliament has requested that Rumble cancel and demonetize Russell Brand over ALLEGED sexual misconduct.

For a significant government entity to request that individuals have their livelihood ruined over mere allegations is frightening.

Russell is fortunate to have such a passionate and intellectual fanbase that can reason that there is something more sinister going on behind the scenes.

Imagine if they had requested for a more minor content creator to have their content removed.

Indeed, there would be less of a fight.

The Guardian has more on the story:

Rumble, a video-sharing platform used by Russell Brand, has accused a parliamentary committee of “deeply inappropriate” behaviour after it asked whether the site would suspend payments to the comedian.

Caroline Dinenage, the Conservative chair of the culture, media and sport committee, wrote this week to Rumble’s chief executive, Chris Pavlovski, to express concern that Brand “may be able to profit from his content on the platform”.

Rumble posted its response on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter, claiming that it was “deeply inappropriate and dangerous” of parliament to “attempt to control who is allowed to speak on our platform or to earn a living from doing so”.

Dinenage wrote to Rumble after YouTube announced on Tuesday that Brand would no longer receive advertising revenues from his videos.

Dinenage asked whether Brand was able to make money from his videos on Rumble, including his denials of accusations against him, and if so, whether the platform would follow YouTube’s lead.

Thankfully, video streaming platforms aren’t under the thumb of the Google monopoly.

Russel would have had a much harder time making a living without Rumble.

The more YouTube and other big platforms cave to the demands of government entities, the less people will trust them.

Without that trust, people will move to Rumble and other services more.

Now, could you read the following Tweet?

It’s important.

So, not only is the British Parliament targeting Russell on Rumble, but ALSO TikTok.

Viva Frei hit the nail on the head with that Tweet.

Like most other governments, the British government seeks to control the narrative.

It might be Russell Brand today, with sexual allegations against him.

But what of tomorrow?

Tomorrow, it might be political opponents.

People who oppose the government.

If these social media platforms cave into these demands, you can bet that your freedom of speech is NOT protected.

Forbes has more on the story:

Following an investigation by the Times, the Sunday Times and Channel 4’s Dispatches program, Brand has been accused by four women of rape, sexual assault and emotional abuse.

He has since had his content removed from the BBC and Channel 4. Meanwhile, earlier this week, YouTube took steps to stop Brand’s channels from making money off ads, saying he has violated the company’s creator responsibility policy.

And now Dame Caroline Dinenage, chair of the Culture, Media and Sport Committee, has asked broadcasters including the BBC and Channel 4 to clarify the internal investigations they have carried out into Brand’s activities during his time working there—and has also spread the net to question video platforms TikTok and Rumble.

“While we recognise that TikTok is not the creator of the content published by Mr Brand, and his content may be within the Community Guidelines set out by the platform, we are concerned that he may be able to profit from his content on the platform,” Dinenage wrote to TikTok’s director of government relations, Europe, Dr. Theo Bertram.

People were highly suspicious of these allegations right when they came out.

And these requests by the British government should send out more red flags!

Russell has commonly looked critically at things the government is doing.

This is likely their way of silencing him.

Keep putting up a fight and make sure that Russell is not silenced.
