First, let me start by saying that I don’t give a lick what John Fetterman wears to work.
This country was built by men in denim and destroyed by men in suits.
I recently heard Marjorie Taylor Greene rail against Fetterman’s choice of dress as belittling the institutions and not giving them the proper respect the public institutions deserve.
To her, I say: have you seen the public-facing institutions? Are they deserving of respect?
Beyond this, Americans give far too much credence to appearance and surface-level rituals—it is this deep obsession with skin-deep looks and euphemistic gestures that has gotten us where we are today: a culture that is beset by lies and quickly collapsing.
Instead of focusing on what truly matters—like the content of someone’s character and the justness of their actions we focus on trifles like whether or not they are wearing an expensive suit.
Morals matter, character matters, competence matters, justice matters—a style of cloth never gave anyone any of these things.
What John Fetterman, or anyone else, wears is completely irrelevant. How John Fetterman votes and the quality of the policies he supports are what matter, and on that front Fetterman gets an F, a big, fat F.
Moreover, the Senator cannot even string together a coherent sentence at times, though at other times he is far more lucid—got to give the man credit where it’s due.
Fetterman is known for his word salads, gaffes, and off-the-cuff remarks, and his recent appearance on MSNBC’s “All In With Chris Hayes” didn’t fail to feature such remarks.
During the interview, Fetterman appears to be disparaging the Freedom Caucus, though it is unclear—he refers to the entity in question as ‘Team America,’ and tells them to go ‘hump a different leg.’ Watch the moment it happened below:
Kyle Becker commented: “I don’t know what is more disturbing in this video, that this “senator” is a slob who talks about “humping legs.” Or that the guy who is talking on-air looks nothing like John Fetterman.”

Trending Politics provided the full quote from Fetterman:
“On the House, the whatever they call themselves, Team America or whatever they call themselves, bring your vote otherwise they need to go hump a different leg.”
Collin Rugg presented one of Fetterman’s recent statements geared toward the striking United Auto Workers:
“My message to the, the CEOs, CEOs is, you know, it’s $74 million, you know, collectively earning that, you know, how many yachts can they need, you know, to, to yacht, to water, uh, ski behind it, you know, I mean, it’s, it’s crazy. You know, I don’t, my message,” Fetterman said.
Senator John Fetterman delivers a powerful message in support of the United Auto Workers.
Truly inspirational!

Dave Rubin had this to say: “John Fetterman looks like an out of work guy who wanted to be in porn.”

Axios reports that Chuck Schumer and Congressional Democrats have scrapped the dress code rules—presumably due to Fetterman’s style of dress:
The new directive will allow Sen. John Fetterman (D-Pa.), who tends to favor gym shorts and hoodies over the business attire traditionally required in the chamber, to linger on the Senate floor before and after votes.
“Senators are able to choose what they wear on the Senate floor. I will continue to wear a suit,” Schumer said in a statement to Axios.
