Will human beings reach Mars soon? Elon Musk seems to think so.
The eccentric billionaire, often called the Howard Hughes of our time, is once again touting his Starship project that may receive a green light to relaunch early this fall.

SpaceX explained: “Starship represents a fully reusable transportation system designed to carry both crew and cargo to Earth orbit, the Moon, Mars, and beyond.”

Gizmodo highlights the recent successful tests of SpaceX engines:
The private space venture demonstrated a vacuum-optimized Raptor, evaluating the engine’s performance “through a test that successfully confirmed the engine can be started in the extreme cold conditions resulting from extended time in space,” NASA announced on Thursday.
The FAA announced on September 8, 2023: “We have closed the SpaceX Super Heavy mishap investigation. The final report cites multiple root causes of the April 20 mishap and 63 corrective actions SpaceX must take. This does not signal resumption of Starship launches at Boca Chica.”

CNN reports:
The Federal Aviation Administration says it is “optimistic” that it could allow SpaceX to launch its mega rocket, Starship, by the end of October.
Starship has been grounded since its inaugural test flight in April ended when the rocket — the most powerful launch vehicle ever built — exploded over the Gulf of Mexico.
