WATCH DEVELOPING: Texas Attorney General’s Impeachment Moves Forward…

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton’s impeachment continues for the second day.

In May, Paxton’s own party voted to impeach him on allegations of bribery and corruption—it should be noted that the state of Texas has only impeached 3 sitting officials in 200 years.

On Tuesday, motions to dismiss the impeachment proceedings were denied and the impeachment proceedings will continue until a verdict is reached.

You can watch the full 2 days of the impeachment trial below:

The Epoch Times explained:

Each side will be allowed one hour for opening and closing statements and 24 hours for each side to present evidence, questioning, and cross-examination of witnesses.

The trial is expected to last about two weeks.

The Attorney General posted this to X on Tuesday: “I want to thank you all for your prayers and support. I will never back down for defending freedom.”

Donald Trump Jr. had this to say:

“Today marks another milestone in Ken Paxton’s career of fighting the Austin Swamp and Establishment. Ken will survive and will continue to combat the Swamp in Texas to put America First. I’m looking forward to the upcoming 2024 primary season. RINO hunting season starts soon!!!”

Just The News dissected one witness’ testimony:

When he learned that Paxton had resumed an extramarital affair with a woman employed at Paul’s company in mid-2020, Mateer said he finally understood why the attorney general engaged in numerous activities on behalf of Paul, who was arrested by the FBI in June.

Mateer further testified that Paxton halted foreclosures statewide, going against state COVID policy.
