Elon Musk To Sue The ADL!

Elon Musk is planning to sue the Anti-Defamation League.

Over the last several decades the ADL has been behind the scenes censoring Conservative voices who call out corruption.

The organization has used its platform to label Conservatives and even President Trump as “racist” and “antisemitic”.

During the old Twitter regime, the ADL reportedly pushed the company to remove various users from the platform, but now Elon Musk is putting an end to it.

In a new tweet, Elon Musk tweeted “To clear our platform’s name on the matter of anti-Semitism, it looks like we have no choice but to file a defamation lawsuit against the Anti-Defamation League.”

Elon Musk also suggested that he will release all data of the ADL pushing for X accounts to be banned or censored.

Per NBC News:

Elon Musk posted that he was against antisemitism Monday and blamed the Anti-Defamation League for lost advertising revenue since his acquisition of X, the platform formerly known as Twitter.

The tech mogul posted his stance on free speech and antisemitism seemingly out of the blue on his verified account Monday afternoon. When asked by a user who was questioning his stance, Musk alleged that the ADL has been “trying to kill this platform by falsely accusing it & me of being anti-Semitic.”

“If this continues, we will have no choice but to file a defamation suit against, ironically, the ‘Anti-Defamation’ League,” Musk wrote. “If they lose the defamation suit, we will insist that they drop the the “anti” part of their name, since obviously …”

He later wrote in another post that X has “no choice but to file a defamation lawsuit” against the group to clear its name.

An email to attorneys representing Musk and X asking whether a complaint has been drafted was not immediately returned.

Per Business Insider:

In a series of posts on Monday, Elon Musk said X, formerly known as Twitter, may have no choice but to file a defamation lawsuit against the Anti-Defamation League (ADL).

Musk, who purchased Twitter in April of 2022 and subsequently renamed it X, directly blamed the ADL for declining US advertising revenue, which is down 60%, at the platform. Musk claimed that the ADL is “trying to kill” the platform by “falsely accusing” him and it of being anti-semitic. Though it’s unclear how serious Musk’s threat of legal actually is, he said that if X were to win a lawsuit, he would insist that the organization drop the “anti” portion of their name.

“To be super clear, I’m pro free speech, but against anti-Semitism of any kind,” Musks posts began. “Our US advertising revenue is still down 60%, primarily due to pressure on advertisers by @ADL (that’s what advertisers tell us), so they almost succeeded in killing X/Twitter!”

In 2022, the ADL called for advertisers to boycott twitter now known as X because Musk decided to unban Trump.
