Trump Draws Largest Crowd At Alabama GOP Dinner EVER

President Trump on Friday night talked to a huge crowd at the annual Alabama GOP Summer Dinner fundraising dinner.

It was estimated that over 3,000 people attended the fundraising dinner which was a new record for the event.

The event was attended by every leader in Alabama’s GOP which included Gov. Kay Ivey and Lt. Gov. Will Ainsworth.

As Trump took the stage the venue was at full occupancy, just take a look:

Here’s what WSFA reported:

Former U.S. President Donald Trump was the keynote speaker at the Alabama GOP’s Summer Dinner fundraising event Friday night, helping the party rake in a record-breaking $1.2 million and shatter attendance records for such events in the state.

Trump, whose private jet landed at Montgomery Regional Airport around 5:10 p.m., traveled by motorcade to the Renaissance Montgomery Hotel and Convention Center in downtown Montgomery where he spoke before an audience of 2,700 people, many who started lining up hours before to get their seats.

ALGOP leadership, including Gov. Kay Ivey and Lt. Gov. Will Ainsworth were among those in attendance, as were other state lawmakers and Republican members of the state’s congressional delegation.

Alabama’s senior U.S. Sen. Tommy Tuberville introduced Trump to applause around 7:15 p.m. and the former president spoke off the cuff about a number of campaign promises, the looming criminal investigations he’s facing, and other topics for approximately an hour.

Senator Tommy Tuberville introduced Trump and when he did he empathically declared Alabama is “Trump country.”

Before the dinner even started, Trump received endorsements from every member of  Alabama’s GOP delegation:

Per Politico:

Former President Donald Trump has won the support of the entire Republican Alabama U.S. House delegation as well as five statewide elected officials, extending his commanding lead over his primary rivals in endorsements.

The campaign announced the endorsements one day after Trump was arraigned on federal charges tied to his involvement in the Jan. 6 Capitol riot. Despite Trump’s mounting legal problems — he has now been indicted three times and faces a possible fourth — he has continued to win support of Republican lawmakers, many of whom have vocally defended him.

Trump is set to make an appearance at the Alabama Republican Party dinner on Friday evening in Montgomery. He has received the support of all six Alabama GOP House members: Robert Aderholt, Mike Rogers, Gary Palmer, Barry Moore, Jerry Carl and Dale Strong. He also has endorsements from Sen. Tommy Tuberville, Lt. Gov. Will Ainsworth and Agriculture Commissioner Rick Pate, and all three members of the Alabama Public Service Commission. The state’s junior senator, Katie Britt, has not yet endorsed in the race. Nor has the governor, Kay Ivey.
