‘Let them debate!’

Is there a man alive with more confidence than President Donald Trump?

I think not.

Trump has made it clear several times that he has very little interest in taking part in the upcoming GOP debate.

That doesn’t mean he’s not interested in the debates themselves.

Trump took to Truth Social and made his feelings known.

As usual, he did not disappoint:

“Let them debate so I can see who I MIGHT consider for Vice President!”

Trump’s confidence level is 100.

Fox News is hosting the first GOP presidential primary debate on Aug. 23 in Milwaukee. The debate begins at 9 p.m. ET.

“Let them debate so I can see who I MIGHT consider for Vice President!” Trump posted on his Truth Social Monday morning.

The former president, who is leading the GOP primary field, has not yet decided whether he will participate in the debate at the end of the month.

The latest New York Times/Siena College poll has Trump leading the field with 54%; followed by Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis with 17%; former Vice President Mike Pence, Sen. Tim Scott, former Amb. Nikki Haley all with 3%; and entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy and former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie at 2%.

Trump also commented on former presidential candidates not participating in debates during an interview with Fox News’ Sunday Morning Futures.

“You’re leading people by 50 and 60 points, you say why would you be doing a debate?” he said. “It’s actually not fair. Why would you let somebody that’s at zero or one or two or three be popping you with questions?”

“Ronald Reagan didn’t do it and a lot of other people didn’t do it. When you have a big lead, you don’t do it. We have a lead of 50 and 60 points in some cases,” Trump said, per Politico. “I haven’t really made up my mind.”

You really can’t argue with Trump’s logic here..
