Some of the odd things people choose to do in their lives are harmless.
However, that isn’t always the case.
In the last few decades, the vegan lifestyle has taken off in a big way.
A portion of the world has turned their nose to meat or anything else that is animal based in the slightest.
The lengths to which some will go for that lifestyle can have dire repercussions though.
A vegan social media influencer by the name of Zhanna Samsonova unfortunately found that out the hard way.
Samsonova allegedly died of starvation after living exclusively off of a raw diet that consisted of exotic fruit from Malaysia.
She had a strong social media following, and often promoted raw foods to her followers.
Samsonova was seeking medical treatment but lost her life on July 21.
She was only 39.

The New York Post has more on her tragic story:
Vegan influencer Zhanna Samsonova has reportedly “died of starvation” after subsisting exclusively off a diet of exotic fruit in Malaysia, according to her friends and family.
She was 39.
The Russian national — who frequently promoted raw foods on social media where she was known to her millions of viewers on TikTok, Facebook and Instagram as Zhanna D’Art — reportedly died July 21 after finally seeking medical treatment during a tour in Southeast Asia, according to local media outlet reports.
“A few months ago, in Sri Lanka, she already looked exhausted, with swollen legs oozing lymph,” one unidentified friend told Newsflash. “They sent her home to seek treatment. However, she ran away again. When I saw her in Phuket, I was horrified.”
Her friend added, “I lived one floor above her and every day I feared finding her lifeless body in the morning. I convinced her to seek treatment, but she didn’t make it.”

The Gateway Pundit has more on the dangers of the vegan diet:
Zhanna Samsonova, a well-known ‘raw vegan’ influencer living in Malaysia, died last Friday after eating only exotic fruits for an extended period of time.
Unfortunately, the vegan diet has caused some people to go to extremes, which has often resulted in death:
The vegan diet – especially raw veganism – is spreading like wildfire because ‘influencers’ are pushing the lifestyle on social media.
A Cape Coral mother was recently found guilty of starving her 18-month-old son to death after she fed him only raw fruits and vegetables.

Turns out that shunning meat and other animal protein is not such a good idea.

I'll not speak ill of the dead. That's bad form, and not my style.
But will all of her videos be pulled because they are clearly, dangerous, misleading, and flat out "Misinformation?"https://t.co/nHOWLvTbBj
