Chris Christie: “I’ll Kick Trump’s Ass!”

GOP presidential candidate and former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie said he would ‘kick Donald Trump’s ass’ in an interview Thursday night.

You may think Christie meant whooping Trump in the GOP presidential primary.

But you’d be wrong.

Christie referred to a physical fight when he uttered the comment.

“If you and Trump got in the ring…If you got in the octagon, you and him, who’d win?” Piers Morgan asked him.

“Come on. The guy is 78 years old. I’d kick his ass,” Christie responded.

“I’m 60 and in much better shape than he is,” he added.

Has Christie looked in the mirror?

He couldn’t lift his foot high enough to even touch Trump’s ass.

Christie discussed comments about his weight with Piers Morgan.

“At least I’ve never pretended to be anything that I’m not. I own my weaknesses. I own my strengths, and I’m transparent about it,” he said.

Christie’s remarks prompted criticism on social media.

“Christie can’t even fight the urge of eating a donut. Let alone actually ‘fight’ Donald Trump. Come on now,” said investigative journalist Laura Loomer.

“More smack talk from the Pillsbury Doughboy of Venom @GovChristie raises issue of why @realDonaldTrump should elevate Doughboy’s profile by debating him,” said former Trump administration official Peter Navarro.

Valiant News provided extra background on Christie’s gripe with President Trump:

The rivalry between Christie and Trump goes back several years, with the two men having a rocky relationship since Christie endorsed Trump’s presidential campaign in 2016. Trump ultimately did not choose Christie for a role in his administration following a short meeting in early 2017.

Despite being friends beforehand, with Christie playing a pivotal debate role against Sen. Marco Rubio in 2016 then immediately leaving the race, the two have traded barbs and insults since then, with Christie’s latest comments adding fuel to the fire.

“I’ll fight Donald Trump anywhere he wants, in any arena he wants — whether it’s on a debate stage, or in the octagon,” Christie told Morgan, referencing the Ultimate Fighting Championship.

The New York Post added details about Christie’s miserable presidential campaign:

Christie, who is currently in a distant seventh place in the GOP primary, according to the RealClearPolitics polling average, said Wednesday his campaign had met donor requirements for the Republican National Committee’s Aug. 23 debate in Milwaukee, Wis.

He joins five other Republican presidential hopefuls in having reached the donor threshold, including Trump, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, 44, former Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley, 51, South Carolina GOP Sen. Tim Scott, 57, and entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy, 37.
