During their interview, Tucker Carlson laughed at Mike Pence for hesitating to agree that the United States should get rid of electronic voting machines.

“We ought to have voter ID in every state in America. But with regard to voting machines, we had them in Indiana…They produced paper ballots. Recounts were taken in states around the country. And I think it’s absolutely essential that we do everything in our power to restore public confidence in the one person one vote principle,” Pence said.

“Why not just get rid of electronic voting machines and call it a day, and then we don’t have to debate it?” Carlson asked as the audience erupted in applause.

“Well, I would certainly be open to that,” Pence responded.

“Is there a downside?” Carlson asked.

The former Fox News host grilled the former vice president on his Ukraine position and not being concerned about the decline of American cities.

“I know you’re running for president. You are distressed that Ukrainians don’t have enough American tanks. Every city in the United States has become much worse over the past three years. Drive around. There’s not one city that’s gotten better. And it’s visible. Our economy has degraded, the suicide rate has jumped, public filth, and disorder and crime have exponentially increased and yet your concern is that the Ukrainians, a country most people can’t find on a map, who’ve received tens of billions of U.S. tax dollars, don’t have enough tanks. I think it’s a fair question to ask: Where’s the concern for the United States in that?” Carlson said.

Mike Pence’s response: “That’s not my concern.”
