Trump Delivers Major Update About ‘Sound Of Freedom’ Film

Despite the leftist news media’s persistent efforts to trash “Sound of Freedom” and its star, Jim Caviezel, the anti-child trafficking film continues its winning streak at the box office.

And now it’s gotten a major endorsement from Donald Trump.

As The Hill reported:

The film has become popular in conservative circles but drawn criticism from anti-trafficking experts, Rolling Stone reports. Controversy also surrounds leading actor Jim Caviezel, who plays [Tim] Ballard, for his reported prior endorsements of conspiracy theories.

Trump’s team in a release announcing the upcoming screening knocked “liberal media outlets” such as The New York Times and The Hollywood Reporter for having “refused to review the film,” and bashed Rolling Stone, The Washington Post, CNN and The Guardian for having “trashed the film and mocked the millions of movie-goers who purchased tickets to screenings.”

The screening is set for Wednesday and Trump’s announcement sparked some excitement on social media.

Of course, Trump has long been vocal in his call for an end to the scourge of human trafficking, and some of those involved in “Sound of Freedom” have been part of his ongoing campaign to fight this horrific crime.

According to One American News:

The film’s producer, Eduardo Verástegui, was born in Mexico and he was previously appointed as a member of Trump’s Advisory Commission on Hispanic Prosperity. Ballard, who was part of the Trump administration’s Public-Private Partnership Advisory Council to End Human Trafficking, are both expected to join the former president at the screening.

Jim Caviezel, who stars in the film as Ballard, will be joining in attendance as well.

When the screening was announced, Trump’s campaign team mentioned the former president’s steps to put an end to human trafficking and highlighted Ballard’s support of a border wall.

The screening is scheduled to be viewed by Trump’s golf club members and political supporters.

Here’s a clip of Ballard defending the film, which is based on his life, against the backlash of leftist critics.
