Why would anyone want to be a U.S. ally at this point?
Neocons have destroyed the Middle East, the withdrawal in Afghanistan was an absolute disgrace, Blinken and other leading U.S. authorities recently gave China the green light to invade Taiwan, and the dollar is dying. …
Now the Biden administration has backtracked on Ukraine’s entrance into NATO. …
In comments recently made directly ahead of a NATO summit, Joe Biden claimed that Ukraine is not yet ready to join the North Atlantic Treaty Organization.
Journalist Aaron Maté asked: “Biden says Ukraine is not ready to join NATO. He also recalls rejecting Putin’s June 2021 request for “commitments on no Ukraine in NATO… because it’s an open-door policy.” He did the same in Jan-Feb 2022. Was it worth risking this war for the sake of an “open door”?”

Kim DotCom urged for a peaceful resolution to the ongoing conflict. “Biden told Zelenskyy not to make peace, to keep fighting and to defeat Russia with the help of NATO. The reality is all NATO supplies are being destroyed, Ukrainians die at a rate of 10 to 1 and this US proxy war is a disaster for Ukraine. Demand peace!”

The Epoch Times explained:
Under Article 5 of the North Atlantic Treaty, an attack on any nation within the NATO alliance is treated as an attack on all, and members of the alliance are each expected to take up arms in defense of the others.
Pointing to this provision, Biden told CNN’s Fareed Zakaria that Ukraine is “not ready” to join the alliance as conflict continues.
Wall Street Silver points out: “Joe Biden admits that Ukraine has run out of ammunition. The USA and NATO can’t keep up with Russian ammunition production despite outspending Russia 10 to 1 on military. We invest trillions $ in aircraft carriers and F-35 but forget about basics.”

Jim Rickards also highlighted the Biden administration’s change of tune regarding Ukraine’s NATO membership:
“Biden provoked the War in Ukraine by insisting on NATO membership. Now that 300,000 Ukrainians are dead or wounded, the country is destroyed, and Russia is winning, Biden says “just kidding” and that Ukraine’s not ready for NATO membership. What an idiot.”

Zero Hedge provided this quote from Biden:
“I don’t think there is unanimity in NATO about whether or not to bring Ukraine into the NATO family now, at this moment, in the middle of a war.”
“For example, if you did that, then, you know – and I mean what I say – we’re determined to commit every inch of territory that is NATO territory.
It’s a commitment that we’ve all made no matter what.
If the war is going on, then we’re all in war. We’re at war with Russia, if that were the case,” he stressed – in an implicit reference to the Article 5 common defense treaty.
