Democrat activists are desperate to keep Donald Trump out of the 2024 presidential election.
In the latest feeble move, two civil rights organizations started a campaign to pressure state governments to disqualify Trump from the ballot.
They claim secretaries of state can use the 14th Amendment to prevent Trump from seeking election in 2024.
“On January 6, 2021, former President Donald Trump incited a violent insurrection, attacking Congress and our nation’s Capitol, in an effort to overturn the results of the 2020 election,” Free Speech for People and Mi Familia Vota said in a joint statement.
“But because of his role in inciting, encouraging, and supporting the January 6th insurrection, Trump is constitutionally ineligible for any future run for office,” the organizations hilariously believe.

The activist groups are attempting to coerce the California, Oregon, Colorado, Georgia, and Nevada state governments to remove Trump from the ballot.
The Hill reports:
Starting Sunday, Mi Familia Vota and Free Speech for People will stage a week of rallies and banner drops outside the offices of the secretaries of state of California, Oregon, Colorado and Georgia.
The groups also penned a letter to Nevada Secretary of State Cisco Aguilar last month, calling on him to block Trump under what’s known as the Insurrectionist Disqualification Clause.
“We’re really focusing on Nevada and California and [Oregon, Colorado and Georgia] to make sure that they are taking a stand by disqualifying Trump in those spaces, which is something that the secretary of state can do,” said Héctor Sánchez, executive director of Mi Familia Vota.
The groups are calling their campaign “Trump is Disqualified,” and are timing it to coincide with the 155th anniversary of the 14th Amendment.
Free Speech for People and Mi Familia Vota wrote in this joint statement:
Enacted in the wake of the Civil War, Section 3 of the Fourteenth Amendment disqualifies from public office any individual who has taken an oath to uphold the U.S. Constitution and then engages in insurrection or rebellion against the United States, or gives aid or comfort to its enemies. Trump’s involvement in the violent attack on Congress in an effort to prevent the certification of democratic election results disqualifies him from holding any future public office.
Free Speech For People and Mi Familia Vota are now urging Secretaries of State and chief election officials across the country to follow the mandate of Section 3 of the Fourteenth Amendment and bar Trump from any future ballot.
This campaign is about more than January 6th and it is about more than Donald Trump. It is about ensuring that any elected official who takes an oath to defend our Constitution and then engages in insurrection is barred from holding public office again.
