Zelenskyy Makes Startling New Demand Signaling Endless War With Russia

After the U.S. and allies around the world have showered Ukraine with cash, weapons, and other military equipment for well over a year, Volodymyr Zelenskyy is clearly feeling emboldened to make some bold demands.

In a recent interview, he declared that unless Russia cedes control of Crimea, which it annexed nearly a decade ago, there’s no end in sight for the protracted war.

Here’s what OANN reported:

Zelenskyy has maintained that liberating Crimea is critical to finishing the conflict, perhaps bolstered by Ukraine’s impressive performance against Russia on the battlefield. However, the country’s impressive performance can be attributed to the $75 billion and additional weapons, tanks, and other supplies that the U.S. has given Ukraine since the war began.

On top of American aid, a plethora of other European countries, Japan, Canada, and more have similarly sent money, weapons, or supplies as well.

Zelenskyy’s proclamation sparked considerable discussion on social media.

Zelenskyy weighed in on a number of other issues, including the aborted coup attempt in Russia, which he claimed made Vladimir Putin look weak.

According to Politico:

Russian leader Vladimir Putin’s power is “crumbling” following the failed mutiny in Moscow in late June, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.

“We see Putin’s reaction. It’s weak,” Zelsnkyy told CNN in an interview taped over the weekend and previewed Monday morning. “All that vertical of power he used to have is just crumbling down.”

Zelenskyy referenced the Kremlin’s response to the rebellion spearheaded by Yevgeny Prigozhin, a former catering magnate and powerful warlord who attempted to oust Russia’s top military officials. He had publicly criticized Moscow’s military leadership throughout the war, blaming the officials for the mounting death toll of his paramilitary Wagner Group fighters.
