Joe Rogan Guest: ‘I Wouldn’t Take The COVID-19 Shot For $20 Million’

Rapper and actor Ice Cube appeared on Joe Rogan’s podcast and discussed his decision to turn down a movie role over the COVID-19 jab.

In October 2021, reports broke that Ice Cube turned down a $9 million role in the film “Oh Hell No” because he would have to take the experimental COVID-19 shot.

“I turned down a movie because I didn’t want to get the motherf*****g jab,” Ice Cube later confirmed.

“I turned down $9 million. I didn’t want get the jab. F*** that jab. F*** ya’ll for trying to make me get it. I don’t know how Hollywood feels about me right now,” he added.

Variety reported:

When one of the podcast hosts suggested Cube leave Hollywood for streaming, Cube replied, “That’s Hollywood thought. They’re on some s**t. But me too, I’m on some s**t too.”

Would he leave Hollywood and make an independent production? “I’m working on it. I’m hustling,” Cube said. “Got a lot of things up my sleeve.”

Later in the interview, Cube clarified that he “didn’t turn down” a movie because of his refusal to get the COVID shot, adding, “Those motherf****** didn’t give it to me because I wouldn’t get the shot. I didn’t turn it down. They just wouldn’t give it to me. The covid shot, the jab…I didn’t need it. I didn’t catch that s**t at all. Nothing. F*** them. I didn’t need that s**t.”

Ice Cube reiterated his stance against the COVID-19 shot on Joe Rogan’s podcast.

“I didn’t even tell people that I wasn’t vaccinated. I didn’t tell people not to go vaccinated. I didn’t tell people that I’m not doing this movie because I don’t want to be vaccinated. But somehow, some way, the news hit the – I don’t know if some Hollywood reporter or somebody put it out that this is why Cube is not doing the movie. And I thought it was chicken s**t,” he explained.

“It’s like, what happened to the HIPPA laws?…Where you’re not supposed to reveal a person’s medical status. And here it is. They printing mine. And so, I just thought it was bull s**t. And it just kind of snowballed, you know?”

“I’m like, what they want is for people to tell me I’m stupid…They want people to tell me, you turning down $9 million? You’re stupid. I’ll do anything for $9 million. How stupid can Cube be? And I don’t care about that. It’s like, I didn’t lose $9 million because I never had it. Like, if you never have some s**t, you can’t lose it, okay? You lose it when it’s in your bank account, then you look up and it’s gone… But if you never had it, I didn’t lose it. It just was never given to me,” he continued.

“And so, they tried to put my business in the street, put pressure on me. Everybody around me tell me how stupid I am so I can go get vaxxed and say, please let me do the movie. You know, that was never gonna happen. I don’t care if it was $20 million. That was never gonna happen,” he added.

“And if you got injured from that vaccine, you would have paid that $20 million to be healthy again,” Rogan said.

“D**n right,” they both agreed.
