Every man knows when another man is issuing a veiled or tacit threat against him. …
Hunter Biden’s lawyer, Abbe Lowell, recently issued a somewhat angry letter to the House Ways and Means Chair claiming that the information provided by IRS whistleblowers is fake.
Moreover, he claimed that the whistleblowers are merely politically motivated individuals—the only reason they came forward, according to Lowell, was to hurt Joe Biden. …As if Joe Biden needed help with that.
Lowell then went on to state the seriousness of the whistleblowers’ actions—claiming that similar incidents with other agents have led to prison time.
Axios correspondent Alex Thompson shared the letter penned by Hunter Biden’s lawyer and explained:
NEW w/ @StefWKight: Hunter's lawyer Abbe Lowell has sent a blistering letter to House Ways and Means chairman Jason smith over the IRS Transcripts, accusing him of "feed the misinformation campaign to harm our client…as a vehicle to attack his father."https://t.co/iat8DBcIFC pic.twitter.com/rkqQJtwkm9

Hunter Biden's lawyer questions the credibility of the WhatsApp message.
"In short, the images you circulated online are complete fakes."
Suggests the committee itself could have "altered" the data to create this text. https://t.co/bQLpeCCuie pic.twitter.com/gz0H8SHBLI— Alex Thompson (@AlexThomp) June 30, 2023
Axios broke the story:
Lowell suggests the IRS agents interviewed may be claiming the title of whistleblower “in an attempt to evade their own misconduct” and clams that the “timing of the agents’ leaks and your subsequent decision to release their statements do not seem innocent.”
Sean Davis states, “It doesn’t appear Abbe Lowell even read the witness transcripts he’s complaining about in his letter. Lowell falsely claims witnesses were never told of their obligation to tell the truth under 18 USC 1001. Except they were. We know this because it’s in the transcripts.”

Astonishingly lame letter from Hunter Biden’s fabled lawyer Abbe Lowell. Lots of huffing, puffing and straw-clutching. The complaint boils down to this: “your release of material violated the spirit, if not the letter, of the tax laws”. @RepJasonSmith must be laughing pic.twitter.com/GDttE3nrW7

NBC News reports:
Lowell added, “These interviews were orchestrated recitations of mischaracterized and incomplete ‘facts’ by disgruntled agents who believed they knew better than the federal prosecutors who had all the evidence as they conducted their five-year investigation of Mr. Biden.”
