Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is fired up about the Supreme Court’s latest string of rulings that have sided with Conservatives.
In her latest appearance on CNN, AOC stated “If Chief Justice Roberts will not come before Congress for an investigation voluntarily, I believe that we should be considering subpoenas, we should.”
She the took aim at Justice Clarence Thomas and stated that Congress should enact better guidelines for those on the Court that “break the law.”
She then even went as far as to call for an impeachment of Conservative Justices.

Here’s what Newsweek reported:
Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, a New York Democrat, suggested on Sunday that Congress should consider investigations looking into conflicts of interest within the U.S. Supreme Court and possibly issuing a subpoena for Chief Justice John Roberts if he doesn’t voluntarily come to those potential congressional hearings.
ADVERTISEMENTThe Democratic lawmaker suggested that ethics guidelines should be passed to avoid “overreach” by the justices in the wake of the Court’s 6-3 ruling on Friday to cancel President Joe Biden’s student loan forgiveness plan, which would have canceled up to $10,000 in debt borrowers with an income of $125,000 or less and up to $20,000 for Pell Grant recipients.
Roberts said in the ruling on Friday that the Biden administration and Education Department Secretary Miguel Cardona asserted that the HEROES Act granted them authority to cancel $430 billion of student loan debt, when “it does not.”
“We hold today that the Act allows the Secretary to ‘waive or modify’ existing statutory or regulatory provisions applicable to financial assistance programs under the Education Act, not to rewrite that statute from the ground up,” Roberts wrote in his opinion.

Here’s what the Rolling Stone reported:
Reacting to the Supreme Court’s conservative majority ruling that affirmative action in higher education and President Joe Biden’s student debt relief plan are unconstitutional, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) warned Sunday that the court is “beginning to assume the power of a legislature.”
“They are expanding their role into acting as though they are Congress itself and that, I believe, is an expansion of power that we really must be focusing on,” Ocasio-Cortez said on CNN’s State of the Union.
In striking down affirmative action in helping determine admissions decisions, Chief Justice John Roberts wrote that each applicant “must be treated based on his or her experiences as an individual — not on the basis of race.” And in re-imposing a massive amount of debt for 43 million borrowers, the court decided that Biden overstepped his authority through the 2003 HEROES Act, which the government had cited to defend the debt cancellation.
Becker is right!
She's not taking the recent Supreme Court rulings well. At all. https://t.co/aHjEjutweM
