Hunter Biden Deposed In Defamation Lawsuit

Hunter Biden will be deposed Thursday as part of a civil lawsuit brought by Delaware computer repair shop owner John Paul Mac Issac.

Mac Issac filed the defamation lawsuit against Biden in October 2022, and Biden countersued Mac Issac for allegedly illicitly distributing Biden’s personal data and “invasion of privacy,” per Fox News.

Fox News reports:

In 2020, Mac Isaac said that a man he believed to be Biden had dropped off three laptops at his store in April 2019, only one of which was salvageable. While repairing that laptop, Mac Isaac said, he discovered disturbing material.

The customer did not return for the laptop within 90 days, and Mac Isaac could not get in touch with him. Mac Isaac said he first searched the emails by keyword in June or July 2019.

According to Mac Isaac’s account, the FBI first made a forensic copy of the laptop and then returned weeks later with a subpoena and confiscated it.

Mac Isaac was subpoenaed in December 2019 to testify before the U.S. District Court in Delaware.

The FBI’s property receipt for the laptop, first obtained by Fox News Digital in 2020, had a “Case ID” section, which was filled in with a handwritten number: 272D-BA-3065729.

The number “272” is the FBI’s classification for money laundering, while “272D” refers to “Money Laundering, Unknown SUA [Specified Unlawful Activity]—White Collar Crime Program,” according to FBI documents. One government official described “272D” as “transnational or blanket.”

According to the New York Post, Hunter Biden will provide all of his unredacted bank records from April 2019.

Mac Issac reportedly discovered emails on the laptop detailing the alleged influence-peddling scheme involving Hunter Biden and Joe Biden.

From the New York Post:

Before the feds picked up the laptop in December 2019, Mac Isaac made a copy of the hard drive. He gave it to Giuliani’s personal lawyer, Robert Costello, the following year. Giuliani then provided The Post with a copy of the hard drive in October 2020.

In March, Hunter Biden filed a countersuit alleging Mac Isaac illicitly distributed his personal data, accusing him of six counts of invasion of privacy.

Thursday’s deposition comes days after the Justice Department announced that he would enter a plea agreement stemming from US attorney for Delaware David Weiss’ years-long investigation into his tax affairs.

Biden agreed to plead guilty to federal tax and firearms charges in a deal with his father’s Justice Department that’s expected to carry no prison time and leave his record free of felony convictions.

Hunter Biden’s deposition also comes in the wake of IRS whistleblowers claiming the Department of Justice blocked US Attorney David Weiss from pursuing charges against Hunter Biden.

“IRS whistleblower Gary Shapley, a lead investigator in the Hunter Biden case, said he felt the president’s son received preferential treatment, and claims he was blocked from pursuing leads that could have led to the president,” CBS Evening News wrote.

The mainstream outlet interviewed the IRS whistleblower:

Even The New York Times confirmed these whistleblower allegations against Biden.
