Donald Trump joined Howie Carr’s radio show Monday and had kind words for Democrat presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr.
When asked about RFK Jr., Trump said he’s “smart” and a “good man.”
Trump also said the Democrat candidate is a “common sense” guy whose “heart is in the right place.”

“Bobby Kennedy, he’s getting — he’s a Democrat from the ‘First Family’ they used to call it, and he’s taking almost as much heat as you are from fake news. What would you tell Bobby Kennedy?” Howie Carr asked Donald Trump.
Mediaite reported Trump’s response:
Just hang in — I mean they go after you. He’s been very nice to me, I’ve actually had a very nice relationship with him over the years. He’s a very smart guy, and a good guy. He said that Trump’s the greatest debater and you can’t just [inaudible] going against Trump. I was very honored by the fact that he said that, glad he feels that.
But he’s a very good man and his heart is in the right place and he’s doing really well! I saw a poll, he’s at 22. That’s pretty good, that’s pretty good. Doing very well.

Carr asked Trump if he’s spoken to RFK Jr. lately.
Daily Beast reports:
Trump’s praise follows a Rolling Stone report into links between a RFK-supporting super PAC and MAGA figures such as Marjorie Taylor Greene and Herschel Walker—suggesting that the right is backing the Kennedy scion as a spoiler candidate. Asked if he’d spoken recently to RFK Jr., Trump said: “No, I haven’t. I would, but I haven’t… You know, he’s a commonsense guy and so am I, so whether you’re conservative or liberal, common sense is common sense.”
Although Robert F. Kennedy is polling above 20%, the DNC won’t allow him to debate Joe Biden.
The DNC will do everything it can to rig the Democrat primary against RFK Jr.
Knowing that, Steve Bannon and Roger Stone have floated the idea of a Donald Trump-RFK Jr. unity ticket.
However, RFK Jr. said "under no circumstances" would he join Donald Trump on an electoral ticket.
Just to quell any speculation, UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES will I join Donald Trump on an electoral ticket. Our positions on certain fundamental issues, our approaches to governance, and our philosophies of leadership could not be further apart.
