Freudian slip?
Saying the quiet part out loud?
Whatever the case, this comment should ring alarm bells.
While speaking on MSNBC’s ‘The Sunday Show with Jonathan Capehart,’ Democrat Stacey Plaskett (non-voting delegate from the Virgin Islands) had an ominous slip of the tongue.
Plaskett said referring to Donald Trump: “He needs to be shot, stopped.”
The full quote read: “Having Trump not only have had the codes, but now having the classified information for Americans and being able to put that out and share it in his resort with anyone and everyone who comes through, should be terrifying to all Americans. And he needs to be shot, stopped.”

Will MSNBC denounce these comments?
Will other Democrats reprimand Plaskett for saying this?
It’s highly doubtful.
Plaskett also said some Americans don’t trust the Department of Justice and FBI because of Republican “propaganda.”
“And that’s the thing I’m concerned about with many of colleagues in the GOP that they believe there is a two-tiered system, but the two-tiered system is not to punish them more, it’s they want it to let them to get away with more than every day Americans,” Plaskett said.
“Whether it’s rolling down our belief and causing Americans to distrust the FBI [and] the Department of Justice, it’s all a mechanism and all a part of their propaganda to make Americans believe that they in fact are above the law,” she added.

Plaskett served as an impeachment manager during President Trump’s impeachment trial.
Per CNN:
When lead House impeachment manager Jamie Raskin introduced Stacey Plaskett at the Senate trial of former President Donald Trump, he highlighted the historic role she is playing as part of the prosecution.
“This is a moment of special pride for me,” said the Democratic congressman from Maryland, noting that Plaskett is “the first delegate ever to be on a team of impeachment managers in American history.”
Plaskett, who has been in the spotlight during the impeachment trial as one of the House managers outlining the case against the former President, is in her fourth term representing the US Virgin Islands’ at-large congressional district, according to her House webpage.
Plaskett is a delegate because she represents a US territory rather than a state, so she is not able to cast votes on the House floor. That means she couldn’t vote to impeach Trump when the full House took that step in January. But Plaskett is now acting as a prosecutor against the former President during the Senate trial, where House impeachment managers have argued that Trump incited an insurrection at the Capitol and are urging the Senate to convict.
She is one of nine impeachment managers – all House Democrats – who have been tasked with presenting the House’s case to senators, who are acting as jurors during the trial.
Plaskett recently said “MAGA Republicans are a threat to the rule of law in America.”
