Donald Trump disclosed on Truth Social that Walt Nauta, Trump’s personal aide, has been indicted by the Department of Justice in the Mar-a-Lago documents case.
“I have just learned that the ‘Thugs’ from the Department of Injustice will be Indicting a wonderful man, Walt Nauta, a member of the U.S. Navy, who served proudly with me in the White House, retired as Senior Chief, and then transitioned into private life as a personal aide. He has done a fantastic job! They are trying to destroy his life, like the lives of so many others, hoping that he will say bad things about “Trump.” He is strong, brave, and a Great Patriot. The FBI and DOJ are CORRUPT!” Trump said on Truth Social.
It’s unclear what charges the DOJ will bring against Nauta.

ABC News reports:
Nauta was indicted by the same grand jury in Florida, sources told ABC News. It is not immediately clear what the exact charges are and an attorney for Nauta declined to comment when contacted by ABC News.
Nauta served as a valet in the Trump White House and left his role to join Trump as a personal aide in early 2021.
ADVERTISEMENTTrump praised Nauta in a Truth Social post, writing that he was a Navy veteran “who served proudly with me in the White House, retired as Senior Chief, and then transitioned into private life as a personal aide.”

The Hill added:
Nauta, who followed Trump from the White House to Mar-a-Lago, was apparently seen on Mar-a-Lago security camera footage moving boxes in and out of the storage room where authorities recovered dozens of classified records during their August search of Trump’s home.
ABC News reported earlier Friday that U.S. District Judge Aileen Cannon, a Trump appointee, will be assigned to oversee his case.
However, the assignment appears to be temporary.
