WATCH: Jill Biden Takes a Page Out of Jeb Bush’s Playbook

If nobody supports anything you say, simply beg for applause.

That was Jeb Bush’s strategy back in 2016 when he hoped to become the republican nominee for president.

It didn’t work out too well for him.

Since Joe Biden is an empty husk, Jill Biden is trying her best to bring some excitement to the prospect of Biden 2024.

Unfortunately for Joe, she’s finding that to be an impossible task.

In a desperate attempt to get bipartisan support from voters, Jill had this to say during a speech on Thursday:

“I’ve visited red states and blue states, and I found that the common values that unite us are deeper than our divisions.”

A long, awkward pause followed as the audience went silent.

That’s when Jill’s desperation kicked in:

“And um, I thought you might clap for that.”

The puppets in the audience complied with her request, much like the crowd did for poor Jeb back in 2016.

I suppose Jill should be used to rejection by now.

Remember this embarrassing moment?

Here’s the footage of Jill’s recent embarrassment:

Trending Politics has more on this sad moment for “doctor” Jill:

In a cringe-worthy moment reminiscent of Jeb Bush’s infamous plea for applause during his 2016 presidential campaign, Jill Biden, the First Lady of the United States, found herself resorting to desperate measures to garner applause from an audience.

Her plea, “I’ve visited red states and blue states, and I found that the common values that unite us are deeper than our divisions. And I thought you might clap for that.”

Fox News reported on the reaction to Jill’s cringeworthy moment:

Several social media users were quick to compare the first lady’s statement to that of former Republican presidential candidate Jeb Bush, who memorably urged his supporters to “please clap” at a campaign event during the 2016 election.

“Awkward,” wrote one Twitter user. A second user shared a GIF of Bush begging those in the crowd in 2016 to clap.

“Nobody clapped because they don’t believe you. Sorry,” another Twitter user wrote.

There were many great reactions to this one!:
