Two-Tiered Justice: Killer Of Conservative Teen Has Charges Reduced

We have two tiers of justice in this country. …One for liberals and the deep-state elite, and the other for normal, law-abiding Americans.

In September 2022, Shannon Brandt reportedly struck and killed 18-year-old Cayler Ellingson after getting into an argument with the teenager.

Brandt was then released on a $50,000 bond after allegedly running Ellingson over with his vehicle.

It was also reported that the Murder charges against Brandt were upgraded and filed after the initial charges of manslaughter.

Now, prosecutors have reverted their original decision to charge Brandt with murder—commuting the charges back to manslaughter charges.

Condemnation of the move to shift Brandt’s charge back to a manslaughter charge was widespread, as an outpouring of support occurred for the slain teenager:

The Associated Press reports:

Foster County State Attorney Kara Brinster was not available Monday afternoon to discuss why the charge was reduced to manslaughter.

Brandt’s attorney, Mark Friese, said in an email that Brinster chose to reduce the charge and it was not part of a plea deal. The case is still scheduled to go to trial on May 30.

Previously, Fox News provided this coverage of the tragic event:

Shannon Brandt, 41, spent just days in a Stutsman County Jail on criminal charges related to the death of 18-year-old Cayler Ellingson before he posted his $50,000 bond and was released, according to county jail records.

Brandt did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital’s email inquiry on Thursday.
