We have an ongoing crisis at the U.S.-Mexico border. …
Everyone with eyes sees what is going on—it is only Democrats and the underlying leftists who control that party who vehemently deny the obvious reality we find ourselves in.
Aside from the demographic and financial strain that uncontrolled migration has on our system, there is another, even more, troubling consequence for the migrants themselves. …
Contrary to popular belief, crossing the border is not free—it requires money paid or a debt owed to the human trafficking rings that smuggle people into the United States.
If someone doesn’t have the money to pay the smugglers, and the overwhelming majority don’t, which is why they’re so desperately trying to enter the U.S. in the first place, they must enter into a debt-bondage agreement.
The debt owed by the person smuggled is repaid in mandatory labor on behalf of these human smuggling rings and their clients inside the United States.
Such clients hire migrants under the table and off the books, usually at rates below the minimum wage, to grossly profit from the cheap labor.
This would be bad enough on its own, without considering that a sizable number of these migrants are unaccompanied children.
Child exploitation among smuggled migrants has become so pervasive that whistleblowers recently came forward to address the House Judiciary Committee in a hearing on the issue:
You can watch the hearing in its entirety below:

Trending Politics provided this quote from Tara Lee Rodas, a former DHS employee:
“I thought I was going to help place children in loving homes. Instead, I discovered that children are being trafficked through a sophisticated network that begins with being recruited in their home country, smuggled to the U.S. border, and ends when ORR delivers a child to a sponsor – some sponsors are criminals and traffickers and members of Transnational Criminal Organizations.
Some sponsors view children as commodities and assets to be used for earning income – this is why we are witnessing an explosion of labor trafficking.”
Eric Swalwell made headlines for several contentious interactions he had with multiple witnesses and other members of the House Judiciary Committee:
