The Presidential primary debates hosted through mainstream, syndicated media are a joke.
Aside from this inconvenient fact, they largely hold no purpose in our current political climate—President Trump is the de facto GOP front-runner heading into the 2024 Presidential election.
Many conservatives like Ron DeSantis, but he is not the favorite—not by a long shot, they like him, but they don’t love him, and he’s the closest contender to the 45th President of the United States.
That closest contender is lagging behind President Trump by double-digit margins in virtually every poll and something like 30 points in the most recent poll conducted by Real Clear Politics.
Given that this is the case, what is the point of primaries or primary debates?
President Trump called this out in one of his recent Truth Social posts, in which he signals that he might sit the debates out:
Will President Trump participate in sham establishment debates? pic.twitter.com/ceUUHqxHR0

People continue to speculate that President Trump may be getting ready to ditch the RNC and the establishment GOP in general.
Will we see a Trump/RFK unity ticket in 2024, and would you vote for it? Do you believe that we live in a post-GOP world, where the entirety of the conservative movement is a Trump party?
Let us know in the comments below:
This is definitely a power move to consider.
Plus, as Trump already tweeted, no Republican primary debates. That should crush the RNC. https://t.co/CR84P47gQ8

Daily Caller reports:
The Ronald Reagan Presidential Library will host the second primary debate, although McDaniel has not specified when it will occur.
Trump has harshly criticized the library, which hosted presidential debates in 2008, 2011, and 2015, for its hosting of his Republican critics, former Reps. Paul Ryan of Wisconsin and Liz Cheney of Wyoming.
If Trump refuses to participate in the Republican primary debates for the reasons he spelled out in his tweet, that may be enough to destroy the RNC.

Steve Bannon calls for Donald Trump to sit out the GOP primary debates: "We don't have a primary and we're not going to have a primary…it's a joke, it's an insult to the president." pic.twitter.com/uMEbYtBFOw

The Hill writes:
Former President Trump on Tuesday raised the prospect of skipping the two Republican White House primary debates that have been announced thus far, suggesting he should not have to subject himself to such scrutiny given his commanding lead in the polls.
