Outrageous! TN Dems’ Capitol Takeover for Gun Control Fails Big Time

Picture this: the hypocrisy of anti-gun Democrats, recklessly causing chaos and stirring up disorderly protests right on the capitol floor.

Sounds outrageous, right?

Well, that’s exactly what went down in Tennessee.

Three Tennessee state lawmakers, all card-carrying Democrats, thought it would be a great idea to get their anti-gun crowd all riled up.

Instead of promoting peaceful discussion, they chose to participate in storming the state Capitol during a protest against guns.

Talk about adding fuel to the fire!

Their actions have serious consequences, though.

These three Democrats now find themselves in hot water, stripped of their committee assignments and potentially facing expulsion from the legislature.

You’d think they’d be more careful, considering the positions they hold. But nope, they went ahead and stirred the pot anyway.

More details, including footage from the storming of the capitol, below:

So, what does this mean for these lawmakers?

Will they learn their lesson and promote civil discourse instead of chaos?

Only time will tell, but one thing’s for sure: their actions have not gone unnoticed.

Three Tennessee state lawmakers, all Democrats, were pulled from their committee assignments and could face expulsion from the legislature after they participated in storming the state Capitol during a protest against guns following last week’s school shooting.

Tennessee House Republicans voted Monday to strip committee assignments from state Reps. Justin Jones, Justin J. Pearson and Gloria Johnson, according to WPLN.

A potential expulsion for the three lawmakers could come later this week.

The lawmakers joined anti-gun protestors in storming the Capitol last week after a 28-year-old transgender person opened fire inside the Covenant School in Nashville, which killed six people, including three children.

“Just handed this on the House floor, but they still have to vote,” Jones said in a tweet after receiving the resolution for potential expulsion from the House of Representatives. “We’ll not be intimidated. THE PEOPLE are demanding we act to stop kids from being murdered in school.”

Republican Speaker of the House Cameron Sexton wrote in a tweet that the lawmakers’ participation in the protest was “unacceptable.”

We all know that if these had been Republicans, let alone Trump supporters, this insurrection would be on the TV 24/7.

But because this was a woke mob, the media is overlooking it.

Isn’t the rule of law and justice supposed to be blind and apply to both sides equally?

Fortunately, it seems as if the Democrat lawmakers who appeared to rile up the crowd may get a huge political reckoning…

Can you believe it?

Disorderly Democrats wielding a bullhorn right on the House floor, blatantly intimidating the democratic process.

It’s like they wanted to see chaos and rile up the protesters. But now, it seems like they might finally face some consequences.

Tennessee House Republicans have had enough.

They’re moving to expel three Democrats from their seats in the legislature, following their unruly actions during a protest demanding gun control.

These representatives not only disrupted proceedings, but they actively joined in on the chaos, completely disregarding the decorum expected of them.

The Washington Post provides more details:

Tennessee House Republicans have moved to expel three Democrats from their seats in the legislature after the representatives joined protesters demanding gun control last week.

On Monday, Republicans in the House filed resolutions to expel Reps. Justin Jones, Gloria Johnson and Justin Pearson, saying they disrupted proceedings last Thursday when hundreds of people came to the state capitol to protest after the March 27 mass killing at Nashville’s Covenant School.

Three 9-year-old students and three adults were killed in the attack, which has since heightened tensions among politicians in Tennessee and across the United States who remain divided on gun regulations.

Already on Monday morning, students in Nashville had walked out of their classes and gathered at the Capitol to protest for gun control.

The fiery evening session adjourned without a vote on the resolutions, which will be on the legislative agenda Thursday. But not before Republican House Speaker Cameron Sexton called for the galleries to be cleared and for state troopers to remove hecklers.

The rare move to oust the three Democrats came shortly after Sexton stripped Jones and Johnson of their committee assignments, the Tennessean reported. Pearson did not have any committee assignments. According to the paper, Johnson also told journalists on Monday that her badge to access the legislative office building had been deactivated.

Last week, Jones, Johnson and Pearson brought a House session to a halt during the protests.

Jones, who held a sign that read “Protect kids, not guns” while on the House floor Thursday, led the crowd on the chamber balcony in a chant, shouting “No action, no peace!” into a megaphone.

With tensions high after a mass killing at Nashville’s Covenant School, these Democrats chose to fan the flames instead of seeking unity and productive dialogue.

Now, expulsion might be just around the corner for Reps. Justin Jones, Gloria Johnson, and Justin Pearson.

Their actions were so outrageous that Republican House Speaker Cameron Sexton even called for the galleries to be cleared and state troopers to remove hecklers.

It’s about time someone took a stand against this kind of disorderly behavior.

Last week, these three Democrats brought a House session to a screeching halt during the protests.

Jones even led a chanting crowd with a megaphone, shouting, “No action, no peace!” It’s no wonder their colleagues are finally saying enough is enough.

So what do you think?

Do you agree with the potential expulsion from the House?
