Russia now sits between a rock and a hard place. …
Directly following the introduction of Finland as NATO’s newest member on Tuesday, Russia immediately announced defensive countermeasures.
Russia has announced that it has already stationed Iskander missiles and delivery systems capable of deploying nuclear weapons inside of Belarus. …
This escalation is a serious blow to any hopes of achieving peace in the region, as the entrance of Finland into NATO is something Russia wanted to avoid at all costs.
According to sources, the introduction of Finland into the NATO alliance has created an additional 1,340 kilometers of shared borders between the NATO powers and the Russian Federation.

ABC News had more on the story:
Putin has said that construction of storage facilities for tactical nuclear weapons in Belarus will be complete by July 1 and added that Russia has helped modernize Belarusian warplanes to make them capable of carrying nuclear weapons.
The two neighbors have an agreement envisioning close economic, political and military ties.
Russia used Belarusian territory as a staging ground for invading Ukraine and has maintained a contingent of troops and weapons there.
Belarus has been given its own nukes. That's right, they, not Russia, control them. https://t.co/lVJRBGJuh3

It would be just like Putin to arm Belarus with strategic nuclear weapons, secretly have them launch these nukes against Ukraine and then shrug his shoulders and claim Russia has no responsibility, in this way to get around any retaliation from NATO. 😉https://t.co/47nUHKznJF

According to Zero Hedge:
Taking a more ominous and threatening tone, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu in a televised press briefing confirmed that Belarus had receieved aircraft and Iskander missiles capable of delivering tactical nuclear strikes.
“Several of Belarus ground attack aircraft received the ability to strike at enemy targets with nuclear weapons,” he said.
ADVERTISEMENT“Besides, Iskander-M operational tactical missile system was handed over to the armed forces of Belarus. It can use both conventional and nuclear missiles.”
