BREAKING: Motion To Vacate Faces Pushback, Johnson Gets Backing From Newfound ‘Allies’

I have said it before, and I’ll say it again—we told you so! We told you early on that Speaker Mike Johnson did not have America’s best interests at heart.

Ever since Mike Johnson was elevated to the role of House Speaker his résumé has consisted solely of funding foreign governments. I can’t think of a single thing he has accomplished other than this.

Why did the GOP even oust Kevin McCarthy, what was the point of replacing McCarthy with an even worse McCarthy?

MAGA firebrand Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene recently introduced a motion for Johnson to vacate his role as House Speaker.

Since the motion was filed, Johnson has adamantly defended his Speakership and stated that he will not step down.

While support from the Freedom Caucus for Johnson’s ouster has been growing, Johnson is now getting support from his newfound allies—the Democrats.

Hakeem Jeffries, the current leader of the House Democrats, and other Democrat leaders released this joint statement on Tuesday:

CNN reports:

The Democratic leaders announced the decision at the conclusion of their caucus meeting Tuesday morning as House Republicans have told CNN the effort behind the motion to vacate Johnson’s speakership is “dead.”

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, who first introduced the motion to vacate, didn’t take the news sitting down.

“Everyday, I fight the Democrat agenda destroying America and I fight for an America First Republican agenda.

Mike Johnson is officially the Democrat Speaker of the House. Here is their official endorsement of his Speakership. What slimy back room deal did Johnson make for the Democrats’ support?

He should resign, switch parties, and continue voting for Biden’s open border invasion of America, endless wars, full term abortion on demand, trans agenda on children, warrantless spying on the American people, weaponizing government against President Trump and his supporters, and every other Democrat wishlist item he’s handed over.

If the Democrats want to elect him Speaker (and some Republicans want to support the Democrats’ chosen Speaker), I’ll give them the chance to do it.

I’m a big believer in recorded votes because putting Congress on record allows every American to see the truth and provides transparency to our votes.

Americans deserve to see the Uniparty on full display. I’m about to give them their coming out party!”

According to NBC News:

They blasted out their statement just as Johnson and his GOP leadership team were holding a news conference in the Capitol, ensuring that the speaker would be asked about it.

As the news ricocheted around social media, an aide quickly passed the speaker a note; Johnson told reporters it was the first he’d heard of it.

Pressed on whether he had struck a deal with Jeffries, Johnson replied: “No, there’s no deal at all.”
